Part 3 of our IFEN Workshop-Bundle is an introductory course to QEEG and Swingle Clinical Q. Everyone interested in neurosciences, beginners, experts as well as practicioners will greatly benefit from this course.

In order to practice, each participant will receive a software set. It is free of charge. There is sufficient equipment available for practicing.
If you happen to buy equipment from us, we will take care of the installation and setup of the hardware and software during the seminar.

Curriculum:

Day 1

• Elektroenzephalographie in the Clinic
• EEG technique and basic understanding of normal and pathological EEG patterns
• Recognition of artifacts
• Learn how to use the Brainmapping Software
• Find and train clinically conspicuous locations in the 10/20 system
• Characteristics of typical brainmaps for depression, ADHD, anxiety, trauma, TB, posttraumatic stress disorder, autism, asperger
• Introduction to the operation of the NeuroGuide Software

Day 2

• Recording technique of the QEEG
• Obtaining the data, editing the raw EEG using NeuroGuide and BrainAvatar software
• Normative EEG patterns based on database comparisons
• EEG subtype and symptom correlations
• Drug effects related to EEG
• Networks, hubs, and correlation to symptoms with protocol selection
• Neurofeedback in learning disorders, cranial brain trauma
• Multi-channel neurofeedback with symptom check list technique
• 3-D-Loreta training and ROI training with and without Z values
• Compare Z values to symptoms in psychiatric and neurological disorders such as diseases

Day 3 - Swingle Clinical Q

The Clinical Q is not only a powerful evaluation tool for the everyday neurofeedback practice.
The Clinical Q, developed by Dr. Swingle, differs in several ways from a complete QEEG brain map. Clinical Q uses only one channel to collect amplitude data on 5 EEG in 6 minutes. Clinical Q has no connectivity data for pairs of recording locations.
The results of Clinical Q are then compared to a clinical database, rather than general population norms, compared to the usual QEEGs. Dr. Swingle has taken the data from 700 clients who have visited his clinic due to psychological or health problems. He found out that 23 EEG values, ratios, or totals are statistically significant markings for certain symptoms.
The participants will receive a certificate for a successful workshop participation.
